Mectrade Engineering won its first few commercial projects from Baker Marine, Greenbay Marine and Keppel-FELS (formerly known as Far East Levingston Ltd) back in the late 1970s building ferries and other ocean-going vessels such as tankers, cable-laying vessels and all types of oil rigs.
