Wire Rope Corporation of the Philippines (WRCP) was established in 1960 under a joint venture project of ATLANTIC GULF AND PACIFIC (AG&P) COMPANY OF MANILA, INC. and BRITISH ROPES, LTD. (now BRIDON INTERNATIONAL, LTD.) Doncaster, England, U.K. It started manufacturing wire ropes in November 1963.
