The company was founded in 1927 by Mr Felix Van Dam ( who came from Holland) under the name of “Talleres San Lorenzo” at the corner of San Lorenzo in old Caracas, the company grew up to became “Talleres Metalurgicos Van Dam” located in El Cementerio in Caracas. In the early 50’s the owner of the company anticipating big infrastructure works as well as oil related projects, decided to invest in a new shop in La Victoria, Aragua State, while keeping the old shop in El Cementerio.
