The Liebherr diesel engine D944 is designed as a 4-cylinder in-line engine, has a displacement of 8 liters and has a maximum output of 230 kW at 1,900 revolutions per minute. The dynamic forces in the 4-cylinder engine are compensated for by a balancer shaft. The 4-cylinder engines from Liebherr are therefore much lower in vibration and run more smoothly than comparable 4-cylinder engines. For regulated and unregulated markets, the motor has identical performance, requirements for the cooling system of the machine and the same interfaces during installation. This enables our customers to use the same device design for different emission levels.
