Established in 1993, UAE-based Gulf Technical and Safety Training Centre (GTSC) is a leading oil and gas training institute. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, GSTC has a global foothold. GSTC offers a wide range of Technical (including Drilling, Wireline, Coiled Tubing, Well Testing, Mechanic, Electrician, Instrumentation, etc.), HSE, Fire Fighting, Offshore Survival, Road Safety and various range of short term & long term Training Courses.
In 2009, GTSC launched the Middle East’s first fully operational Training Well to provide hands-on experience to oil and gas industry professionals. The USD 2.5M Training Well equipment set-up empowers competency-based training in various upstream activities such as drilling, completion, well intervention and workover operations.

GTSC offers practical experience on a well which is drilled to 1700 feet and supported with 7 inch casing and cemented up to surface. The training well is then equipped with 11 inch Casing Head, 11 inch Tubing Head Spool And 11 inch by 4-1/16 Xmas tree with a completion as per attached.
GTSC offers highly competent Training and Development programs for the Nationals. The national development program delivers extensive training to ensure competency and confidence in the individual. Apart from the on-shelf Training Courses, GTSC can also develop specialized HSE and Technical Training, if required.
The Competency Based Training System designed by GTSC is a unique combination of theory, practical hands-on using rig and simulators available at the centre. GTSC caters to the following subjects under the Competency Based Training:
