General Purpose pumps are designed for use where low flow transfer duties in domestic and wide range of industrial applications are required. These pumps have excellent suction lift capability up to 8 meters for water.. It is available in close coupled configurations and with standard IEC frame motors.

Roto MR/RM are based on classical design retaining its compact and robust construction. These pumps have combined bearing and pump housing and incorporate hollow shaft which accommodates the coupling rod, thereby reducing overall length of the pump. Standard sealing arrangement is in gland packing; however these pumps can also be supplied with mechanical seals.

These pumps are available in both free molded and molded to metal stator designs. The maximum pressure for Free Molded pump is up to 9 Bar and for molded to metal up to 12 Bar.

The working principle of Roto gear timed Dual-Flow Twin Screw Pumps is dependent on the rotation of two screw spindles in closed compartment. Wherein a pre-defined clearance is maintained between the screw spindles as well as between the outside diameter of the screw spindles and the bore of the casing/liner in which the screw spindles are located. Each half of the screw spindles is left-handed and right-handed. Thus when the spindles start rotating, driven by a pair of timing-gears located at the end of the screw spindles, the liquid is drawn towards the end of the screw spindles and entrapped between the bore of the pumping compartment as well as the flanks of the screws and is then propelled axially from both the ends towards the centre. Such a dual flow nullifies the axial thrust completely thereby enabling the screw spindles to remain in a state of hydraulic balance. Roto's unique double profile of the screw spindles contributes to a higher volumetric efficiency, thus an improved overall efficiency.

Roto Series Centrifugal Pumps are designed to handle clean water or liquid whose physical & chemical properties are similar to clean water. The maximum operating temperature is 105 degree celcius.
